Session 20
The two-for-one split of technical progress in Europe has put a heavy strain on potential growth and foreshadows a Japanese-style lost decade. What overall productivity growth of factors can be expected in the coming years? Can the loss of productivity be made up for? Is Europe doomed in terms of innovation leadership? How to accelerate the dissemination of new technologies in our societies including public services? How to move resources from low gain sectors to high productivity sectors?
