Cutting down public debts has become a priority for most advanced economies. Our societies need to develop their innovation capacities, social capital and infrastructures more than ever and the role of states is essential. But how can they achieve this without threatening their financial credibility? How much can be saved in current expenditures? What investments should be prioritized? To what extent should the private sector be involved?
