Claire Waysand is a senior strategic advisor and member of the European institutions team at Boston Consulting Group.
She previously held the position of Deputy General Manager at Engie, where she is responsible for the General Secretariat, strategy, research and innovation, as well as communication. She is also a director of the La Poste group.
Before joining Engie, Claire Waysand devoted a large part of her career to government service in France. She notably held the position of Chief of Staff to Michel Sapin, Minister of Finance and Public Accounts, where she coordinated all of the Minister’s activities, including the Sapin 2 Act. Previously, she had been Deputy Chief of Staff to Jean-JacquesMarc Ayrault, Prime Minister and Deputy Director-General of the Treasury. She has solid experience in European affairs, having represented France on the European Economic and Financial Committee and served as a director at the European Investment Bank (EIB). She has also worked at the International Monetary Fund in Washington and gained extensive international experience, both in developed and emerging economies. Claire Waysand joined the ENGIE Group in October 2019 and served as interim general manager of the company from February to December 2020.
