Beyond Fiction: Embracing AI’s Transformations
Overview
Artificial intelligence has emerged from the realm of fiction to become a major force for economic, social, and political transformation. After promises, fears and forward-looking narratives, what is now at stake is concrete integration: in companies, administrations, work, education and democracy.
It is important to analyze the transformations already underway: productivity gains, business recombination, technological sovereignty, platform dependence, trust in information and new forms of governance.
How can we turn IA into a lever for competitiveness without undermining social cohesion? Can Europe build a clean path between innovation and regulation? What economic, democratic, and human risks remain underestimated? It is necessary to go beyond technophile or catastrophist imaginaries to propose a lucid and operational reading of the ongoing changes, and to identify the conditions for a sustainable and controlled appropriation of AI.
