Bio

Arnaud Rousseau is a farmer working in the French county of Seine-et-Marne. He runs his family farm, established for the past five generations in the municipality of Trocy-en-Multien. He mainly grows rapeseed, sunflower, wheat, beet, and corn on a surface of 340 hectares. Deeply involved in the local life, Arnaud was elected municipal councilor of Trocy-en-Multien in 2008, and has been mayor of the municipality since 2014. A firm believer in the power of collective action, he also takes part in agricultural trade unionism. As a representative of the Ile-de-France region, he was elected director of the French Federation of Oilseed and Protein Producers (FOP) in 2005. In particular, he is in charge of the CAP, European and international affairs. In February 2017, Arnaud was appointed Chairman of the FOP. He was also named Chairman of Avril Gestion. He thus became the first representative of agricultural shareholders within Avril, the industrial and financial Group of the French vegetable oil and protein industry, created by producers as early as 1983 to add value to their seeds and contribute to France's food sovereignty. Elected first Vice President of the FNSEA in July 2020, Arnaud is also committed within his own county (département). He serves as Vice President of the FDSEA of the Seine-et-Marne and of the Chamber of Agriculture for the Ile-de-France. Married with three children, Arnaud was born on January 15, 1974. A graduate of the European Business School in Paris, he began his career in business before joining the family farm in 2002. He was also an officer in the operational reserve for over 10 years.
