Territories and Megalopoles: the Race for Attractiveness

Session 8

Any investment project needs to be rooted in a territory chosen for its favorable environment. In practice mega-cities and technological clusters attract the vast majority of investment and compete aggressively to attract investors. What role for the private sector and the State respectively?  How can areas snubbed by investors survive next to these attractive territories? What role for emerging countries in this race?
