Valérie Mignon is a professor of economics at the University of Paris Nanterre. She is the head of the Master’s degree in «International Economics, Macroeconomic Policies and Conjuncture» and is responsible for the International Macroeconomics, Banking and Financial Econometrics division of the EconomiX laboratory (UMR CNRS 7235). Valérie Mignon is also president of section 05 of the National Council of Universities since 2019, scientific advisor at CEPII, general secretary of AFSE and co-editor-in-chief of the journal «International Economics» edited by Elsevier. Among her previous functions, Valérie Mignon was director of EconomiX from 2011 to 2019, president of AFSE in 2020-2021 and member of section 37 of the National Committee for Scientific Research and its office. She obtained the university degree in economics in 1998, following a PhD in economic sciences at the University of Paris X. She also holds a degree in Advanced Studies in Mathematical Economics and Econometrics from the University of Paris I – Panthéon Sorbonne. Specialist in international macroeconomics and finance, his research focuses on exchange rates, oil and energy markets, strategic metals and econometrics. She has published more than 100 articles in peer-reviewed journals and several books on these topics.
