Bio
At 55 years old, Paul-Yves L’Anthoën took office on March 2, 2026. He is Avril’s third Chief Executive Officer since its creation in 1983, succeeding Philippe Thillous-Bordes (1983–2011) and Jean-Philippe Puig (2012–2026). After studying agricultural engineering at Université Laval (Canada), Paul-Yves began his professional career in 1997 with the Roullier Group as a Market Manager in Canada and the United States. In 2001, upon returning to France, he joined the GLON Sanders group as a Branch Manager. From 2006 onward, he held several successive CEO positions within major French cooperatives: at Vivescia (2006–2013), then Terrena (2013–2017), and finally Axéréal (2017– 2025). In October 2025, the Board of Directors of Avril Gestion selected him to lead the Group and continue its development in service of France’s agricultural sector. He joined Avril in November to support the transition alongside Jean-Philippe Puig, before officially succeeding him on March 2, 2026. Coming from a Breton farming family spanning several generations, Paul-Yves has maintained a deep connection to the agricultural world and its values. Trained as an agricultural engineer (Université Laval, Canada), he also holds degrees in financial management and leadership from McGill University and HEC Paris (Executive MBA).
