Bio
Noémie Bisserbe is a reporter for the American daily The Wall Street Journal, where she covers French politics and economics from Paris. She began her career in India, where she wrote for the daily The Economic Times and the magazine Business World, focusing particularly on the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors. After six years in Bengaluru, Mumbai, and then New Delhi, she received a scholarship from the University of California, Berkeley, where she studied journalism and political science. She produced numerous reports from East Africa, notably for Revue XXI, before joining the Wall Street Journal’s Paris bureau in 2011. She was initially assigned to cover the financial sector, which was reeling from the sovereign debt crisis, before turning her attention to politics. A specialist in economic, financial, and environmental issues, Julie de la Brosse began her career at L’Express, where she held various positions before becoming a freelance journalist for Le Monde. She joined La Croix in February 2021 as macroeconomics editor, then became editor of the Planète section. She was appointed head of the Economy and Transition department in September 2025.
