Bio


Jean Pisani-Ferry works as a professor at Sciences-Po Paris and senior fellow at Bruegel and the Peterson Institute. His analyses are shared through his columns for Project Syndicate and Le Monde. He was also an actor in charge of the program and ideas for Emmanuel Macron’s presidential campaign and as General Commissioner of France Stratégie.

Before that, he held various positions including the management of Bruegel, a European economic research center based in Brussels, the delegated chairmanship of the Conseil d'Analyse Economique, and advisory roles within the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry. He also directed the CEPII (Center for Prospective Studies and International Information).

His training includes a diploma from the Center for the Study of Economic Programs, a DEA in mathematics, and an engineering degree from Supélec. His contributions to the economic literature include works such as "Economic Policy: Theory and Practice" (with Agnès Bénassy-Quéré, Benoît Coeuré and Pierre Jacquet) and "The euro crisis and its aftermath". His main areas of expertise cover economic policy, the European economy and international economics.
