
Bio
Jean Pierre Letartre, a native of Lille, joined the audit and consulting firm EY in 1985 and contributed to the creation of the Lille office in 1986. Appointed Partner in 1990, he led the development of EY’s regional activities and took responsibility for the high growth companies segment from 1994 onwards. In 2008, he was appointed Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of EY for France, Luxembourg and the Maghreb. In 2017, he became Managing Partner for the Western Europe and Maghreb region. Alongside his professional career, Jean Pierre Letartre has been deeply committed to promoting entrepreneurship in France, notably through the Entrepreneur of the Year Award and the Entrepreneurs Academy. In 2007, he co founded the Citizen Entrepreneurs association, which organizes the G20 Entrepreneurs’ Summit. He is also the author of several books, including What Are You Waiting For to Become an Entrepreneur? From 2013 to 2018, he served as a member of the Executive Board of MEDEF. At the end of his term at EY in 2019, Jean Pierre Letartre became Chairman of Réseau Alliances and of the World Forum for a Responsible Economy. He also served as Chairman of Entreprises et Cités, a platform for services and cooperation between entrepreneurs and regional stakeholders in the Hauts de France region, as well as Chairman of the IRD Group, a consulting and investment firm. Since June 2025, he has served as President of MEDEF Lille Métropole, contributing to the economic and social development of the Hauts de France region. He also serves as a board member of Paprec, Loxam and Delville. Jean Pierre Letartre is a Knight of the Legion of Honour and an Officer of the National Order of Merit.
