Bio
Grégoire CHAUVIERE LE DRIAN currently heads the European Investment Bank Group’s office in France. A staunch European, he has worked with the French Vice-Presidents of the EIB—Philippe de Fontaine-Vive and Ambroise Fayolle—and served as chief of staff to both. A former advisor on development and foreign trade in the office of Laurent FABIUS, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Development, and a former employee of the French Treasury (Europe Division), Grégoire Chauvière Le Drian also gained investment experience at the French Development Agency and in the field in Vietnam as deputy director of the ADETEF office, which later became Expertise France. Grégoire teaches economic policy at Paris Dauphine University and regularly lectures at universities and the Grandes Écoles. A graduate of the Paris Institute of Political Studies (Sciences Po), a former student of the École Normale Supérieure de Paris-Saclay and the European program at ENA, and holder of a DEA in “Development Economics” from EHESS, as well as an agrégé in economics, Grégoire is married with two children and enjoys sports and travel. He has cycled around the world and gained his first professional experience at Amaury Sport Organisation, where he managed relations with local authorities for the Tour de France.
