Bio

Frédéric Faroche has been President of GazelEnergie since March 2024. GazelEnergie is an independent electricity producer and supplier and a subsidiary of EPH, the 7th largest energy company in Europe. His mission is to manage the coal phase-out and accelerate the development of the Group’s activities in France. Throughout his career, he has held various positions in the energy sector, with extensive international experience. He began his career operating district heating and cooling networks for Dalkia in the Paris region before supporting the company’s expansion into Central Europe. Between 1999 and 2013, he held several subsidiary management and operations leadership positions within the Group in the Czech Republic, Lithuania, and Poland. In 2013, he was appointed Country Director for Bulgaria (Water and Energy) within Veolia Environnement. In 2018, he became Country Director for Poland (Energy, Water, and Waste). During his career, he has led several coal-to-biomass and coal-to-gas conversion projects based on large-scale cogeneration facilities. He also established a multi-utility trading subsidiary capable of operating directly across various markets, including electricity, gas, coal, and biomass. Frédéric Faroche graduated from HEI Lille and the IAE Aix-en-Provence.
