El Mouhoub MOUHOUD

Bio

El Mouhoub Mouhoud has served as President of PSL University (www.psl.eu) since December 2024. A Professor of Economics at Paris Dauphine University – PSL since 2006, he served as President of Paris Dauphine University from December 2020 to December 2024. He also acted as Interim President of PSL University from July to December 2024.

He earned his PhD in Economics from Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University in 1991 and obtained the French Agrégation in Economics in 1994. Throughout his career, he has served as Scientific Advisor to the French Planning Commission (Commissariat Général du Plan), a body attached to the Prime Minister’s Office (now France Stratégie), and has worked as a consultant for the OECD, the United Nations, and the World Bank. He is a member of the Cercle des économistes, a Research Fellow at the Economic Research Forum, and a member of the Executive Committee of the French Economic Association (Association Française de Sciences Économiques).

His research focuses on the relationship between innovation economics and globalization, industrial competitiveness, and international migration. He has made significant contributions to the analysis of industrial reshoring and the reconfiguration of global value chains.

He has also been a visiting professor at numerous international universities, including the New School for Social Research in New York and the Institute for the Transregional Study of the Contemporary Middle East, North Africa, and Central Asia at Princeton University.
