Christian Saint-Etienne is professor emeritus, holder of the Jean-Baptiste Say Chair in Industrial Economics at the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers, has held various high level positions, notably as a member of the Council for Economic Analysis, Professor at the University of Paris-Dauphine, economist at the IMF and the OECD. He is an experienced expert in industrial economics. He holds a PhD in Economics and has masters degrees in economics from the London School of Economics and Carnegie Mellon University. His main publications include important works, such as “Le libéralisme stratège contre le chaos du monde” published by Éditions Odile Jacob in September 2020, “Trump et Xi-Jiping – Les apprentis sorciers” published by Éditions de l'Observatoire in March 2020, as well as “We dare the Europe of nations” at the Observatory in January 2018. His areas of expertise cover monetary and financial policy, public finance and taxation, as well as the strategy and competitiveness of governments and enterprises. His in-depth research and experience provides valuable insight into critical issues of contemporary economics.
