Born on May 14, 1972, in Bourgoin-Jallieu, Isère, Caroline Roux is a journalist and radio and television presenter. She has been with the France Télévisions group since 2012, where she hosts the current affairs and debate program “C dans l'air” on France 5 and special political programs on France 2. After graduating from the Institut d’études politiques de Grenoble in 1991 and the École de journalisme de Marseille in 1993, she began her career at Europe 1. After nine years in the radio station’s political department, she moved to television and in 2005 became a commentator on the show “Nous ne sommes pas des anges,” hosted by Maïtena Biraben on Canal+. From 2006 to 2012, she produced a daily segment and a ten-minute interview with a political guest on Canal+’s “La Matinale.” She then left the network in 2012 to join Europe 1’s morning show. From 2012 to 2016, she replaced Géraldine Muhlmann as host of “C politique,” airing every Sunday at 6 p.m. on France 5, and hosted the news and debate program “C dans l’air” every Friday on France 5. In 2016, she hosted the political interview show “Les Quatre Vérités” on France 2. She then took over full hosting duties for the France 5 program “C dans l’air” from Monday through Thursday, while Bruce Toussaint hosted it on Fridays and Saturdays. Hosted by Caroline Roux, the show “C dans l'air” frequently breaks viewership records, averaging 1.5 million viewers and 2.6 million monthly podcast downloads.
