Bio
Anne-Isabelle Etienvre is graduated from the École normale supérieure de Paris-Saclay and holds an agrégation in physics. She also holds a Ph.D. in particle physics and an accreditation to direct research. Anne-Isabelle Etienvre joined the CEA in 2003 in the Department of Particle Physics, which she headed beginning in 2014. In 2016, she was appointed director of the Institute for Research on the Fundamental Laws of the Universe (Irfu), a position she held for six years. From 2022 to 2023, she served as research advisor to the Minister of Higher Education and Research. From 2023 to 2025, she served as Director of Fundamental Research (DRF) at the CEA. Anne-Isabelle Etienvre was appointed General Administrator of the CEA by the Council of Ministers on July 11, 2025.
