Restoring Leadership for a Stronger Europe ?
Overview
The EU is going through a turbulent period, marked by internal tensions and external challenges. While the Franco-German couple has long been the driving force behind European integration, it is difficult to maintain this momentum in the face of the rise of Poland and Italy. Economic divergences between member states, particularly concerning debt, energy and strategic autonomy vis-à-vis the United States, are deepening rifts, and the idea of a harmonious European project seems increasingly complex to achieve.
However, the EU remains a major player in the face of external threats, such as Russian pressure and growing hostility from the USA. Beyond political tensions, Europe's elites, but also its citizens which are scientists, entrepreneurs and young people must reinvent the dynamics of cooperation.
How can the Union overcome these internal fractures and redefine a common project in the face of multiple crises. How to find new forms of collaboration and revive a real dynamic of growth and resilience, while meeting the expectations of its citizens?
