Faced with the polarization of society, the rise of fakenews and the dictates of the emotional and sensational, we need today, even more than yesterday, a rational dialogue to rehabilitate public debate, scientific and promote again a sense of the collective.

However, the very definition of debate and rationality is questioned: what is an objective data when it is subject to different interpretations? Who distinguishes the true from the false? Why is doubt a driver of scientific progress but can be counterproductive when it denies established facts?
