Michel Wieviorka is Emeritus Director of Studies at the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (EHESS) in Paris. His research focuses on social and cultural movements, democracy, as well as evil and suffering, racism, violence, terrorism, and antisemitism. His work has been widely published, with around ten books translated into several languages. He also co-directs the journals SOCIO and Violence: An International Journal, and oversees the Voix et regards collection at Éditions de l’Aube. Michel Wieviorka is a member of the Scientific Council of the Youth programme “Jeunesse(s)” at Le Cercle des économistes.
