Bio

Doctor of philosophy, graduated of the École Normale Supérieure, Gabrielle Halpern has worked for the French government in the ministerial cabinet of the Minister of Economy and Finance, the Minister of Trade, Arts & Crafts, Consumer Affairs and Social Economy, the Minister of Research and Higher Education and the Minister of Justice, as a "Foresight and speech-writing" advisor, before co-directing a start-up incubator and advising companies and public institutions. She specialized in cognitive science at the École Normale Supérieure and also holds a degree in theology from the Catholic Faculty and later in Jerusalem. She is an associate expert at the Jean Jaurès Foundation and directs the "Hybridizations" collection, which she created at Éditions de l'Aube. As early as 2021, at the age of 34, she made the front page of the French business daily, L’Opinion, among the “influential intellectuals.” In 2024, she received the “Les Lauréates” prize, created by Elle magazine and the newspaper La Tribune, which recognizes “Thirty women who are transforming society and the economy.” Her research, including her doctoral thesis, focuses in particular on the concept of hybridization as a means of building bridges between different worlds. She is the author of several essays, including “Tous centaures ! Eloge de l’hybridation” (Le Pommier, 2020), “Créer des ponts entre les mondes - Une philosophe sur le terrain” (Fayard, 2024), and “Intelligence artificielle: et l'Homme créa Dieu” (Hermann, 2026). She explores this notion of hybridization in numerous fields, including innovation, human resources, organizations, ecology, the individual, agriculture, economics, art, industry, administration, labor, land-use planning, science, education, governance, technology, public policy, and society in its broadest sense. Today, along with her research work, she gives a lot of conferences throughout France and around the world and she advises public institutions and private companies.
