Bio


Odile Launay is University Professor of Infectious and Tropical Diseases at the University of Paris and Hospital Practitioner at Cochin Hospital in Paris. She coordinates the Cochin Pasteur Clinical Investigation Center (CIC) and the French Vaccinology Clinical Research Network (I-REIVAC).
From 2007 to 2016, she was a member of the Technical Committee for Vaccinations, of which she was vice-president from 2011 to 2016.
Her research focuses on the vaccination of special populations, including that of pregnant women, in order to provide information on the potential benefits and risks of vaccination in these populations. His work has given rise to numerous scientific publications in international peer-reviewed journals.
O Launay is also very involved in the teaching of vaccinology for the initial training of health students (medical students, pharmacy students and nursing students) at the University of Paris, students of the graduate studies diploma (DES) of infectious diseases and also in various Masters and continuing education through teaching in many university and inter-university diplomas (DU and DIU).
She is a member of the Covid19 Vaccines Scientific Committee and coordinates COVIREIVAC, a Covid19 vaccine clinical research consortium within the ANRS Emerging Infectious Diseases Agency.
