Les Rencontres Économiques d'Aix-en-Provence

Since 2001, the Aix-en-Provence Economic Forum has been a unique moment of collective intelligence expressed through demanding debates.

Each year, a theme, often a precursor, is chosen and developed in a programme of 50 sessions and debates with more than 300 speakers: academics, political figures, representatives of international institutions and business leaders from all over the world.

The aim is not only to decode current events and enable everyone to understand the issues at stake, but also to outline innovative perspectives for the future.

Open to all and free of charge, the Economic Forum will be broadcast live online from the Faculty of Law and Political Science of Aix-Marseille University. This will allow the largest possible number of people to follow the discussions and interact with the speakers.

Le Cercle des économistes

The Cercle des économistes was created in 1992 on the initiative of Jean-Hervé Lorenzi with the ambitious objective of nourishing the economic debate. It has been organising the Rencontres Economiques d’Aix-en-Provence for 20 years.

Thanks to the diversity of opinions of its members, all academics who hold or have held public or private positions, and to the many activities developed over the years, the Cercle des économistes is today a recognised player in the economic world.

Its success is based on a common conviction: the importance of an open and accessible debate, rigorous and taking into account the facts and analyses.

It is through the organisation of important public debates in France and abroad, through its participation in major economic events and in several regular media events, that the Cercle des économistes pursues its mission: that of offering a wide space for economic expression and debate.
