Bio


Trained as an economist, Aurore Lalucq co-founded the Veblen Institute, a think tank dedicated to promoting economic ideas and public policies in support of the ecological transition. She also led a collection called "Policies of the Transition" at Les Petits Matins publishing house, featuring authors such as Eloi Laurent, Dominique Méda, Tim Jackson, and James Galbraith. In 2019, she was elected as a Member of the European Parliament, focusing on monetary, tax, and employment issues. Re-elected in 2024, she was appointed Chair of the Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs, where her work primarily revolves around banking and financial regulation, tax justice, and industrial policy—particularly green and digital reindustrialization. She also serves on the Committee on Culture and Education, advocating for Europe’s cultural sovereignty.
