Bio
Arnaud de Puyfontaine has built his career in France and internationally in the media industry. He began as Executive Director of *Le Figaro*, and in 1995, he was part of the founding team of the Emap Group in France, becoming a few years later Managing Director, and later Chairman and CEO of Emap France. In 2000, he joined the Executive Board of Emap plc and, concurrently, from 2000 to 2005, served as Chairman of EMW, the Emap/Wanadoo digital subsidiary. In 2006, he was appointed Chairman and CEO of Éditions Mondadori France, and the following year, he became CEO of all digital operations for the Mondadori Group. In 2009, Arnaud de Puyfontaine joined the American Hearst Corporation, where he successively held the positions of Managing Director of its British subsidiary, Executive Vice President of Hearst Magazines International, and Managing Director for Western Europe. Arnaud de Puyfontaine joined Vivendi in January 2014 as Deputy Chief Executive Officer, in charge of media and content operations. Since June 24, 2014, he has served as Chairman of the Executive Board and Chief Executive Officer. Arnaud de Puyfontaine is also Chair of the Board of Havas N.V., Chairman of the Board of Directors of Gameloft SE, a member of the Board of Directors of the Louis Hachette Group, a member of the Supervisory Board of Canal+, a member of the Board of Directors of Lagardère SA, Chairman of SWICH, and Chairman of V Collection. He is also Honorary President of the French-American Foundation and President of the ESCP Business School Alumni Association. He is a Knight of the National Order of the Legion of Honor, a Knight of the National Order of Merit, and a Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters. He has also been awarded the OBE (Officer of the British Empire) and the OMRI (Ordine al Merito della Repubblica Italiana). Arnaud de Puyfontaine is a graduate of ESCP Business School and Harvard Business School.
