Carlos Vieira has served as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of CAIXA since November 2023. CAIXA is Brazil’s state-owned bank, with 157.2 million clients, a physical branch network covering 98% of Brazilian municipalities, and total assets of BRL 2.2 trillion. A career employee of the institution, with 50 years of experience in the financial sector.
He holds a Master’s degree in Finance from Université Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne. He is a specialist in corporate strategy, foreign trade, corporate finance, and international executive management. In the field of arts and culture, he is dedicated to literature, having authored two books and collaborated on several others.
