Jan CERNICKY

Bio

Dr Jan Cernicky studied political science and philosophy in Hanover and Paris and completed his PhD on regional integration processes in West Africa. He worked for the Africa Research Service, providing economic consultancy to small and medium-sized enterprises with business interests in Africa. From 2015, he was head of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation’s offices in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Kenya. From 2020, Mr Cernicky was responsible for international trade and economy at the Konrad Adenauer Foundation’s headquarters in Berlin; since 2022, he is head of the department of economy and innovation.
