Stéphane Carcillo is an economist who holds several high-profile positions. Currently, he is Head of the Employment and Income Division at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and Affiliated Professor in the Department of Economics at Sciences Po. He is also an affiliated researcher at the Institute for the Study of Labor (IZA).

During his career, Stéphane Carcillo has held various positions of responsibility, notably as Executive Director of the Chair for the Securisation of Professional Pathways at Sciences Po and Genoa. He also advised the Minister of the Economy, Finance and Employment, and worked as an economist at the International Monetary Fund. His academic background includes a PhD in Economics from the University of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne, a Master’s degree in Economics from the École d'Économie de Paris, and a diploma from ESSEC (Ecole Supérieure des Sciences Économiques et Commerciales).

Among his main publications are books such as "Les discriminations au Travail" (co-authored with Marie-Anne Valfort), "Des compétences pour les jeunes défavorisés", and "Labor Economics" (written in collaboration with Pierre Cahuc and André Zylberberg). This work illustrates his expertise in labour economics and his efforts to understand and address issues related to employment and skills.
