The International Crisis Group is an independent organisation providing field-based analysis and advice to policymakers and stakeholders on how to prevent, resolve or better manage deadly conflict. Crisis Group currently reports on 55 conflicts and vulnerable countries, with a staff of 132 people, based in global centres and field offices around the world.
Prior to rejoining Crisis Group in 2017, Robert Malley served as Special Assistant to President Obama, Senior Adviser for the Counter-ISIL Campaign, and White House Coordinator for the Middle East, North Africa and the Gulf region. He also served as Special Assistant to President Clinton for Arab-Israeli affairs and Director for Near East and South Asian affairs at the National Security Council.
