Biographie


- 1 July 1962: Birth of Richard Ferrand in Rodez (Aveyron)

- 1982: Journalist for various print publications

- 1988: Associate Director of a press graphic design agency

- 1990: Creation of a communications consulting firm and Director of an agency of graphic design partners

- 1991-1993: Special Advisor to Kofi Yamgnane, Secretary of State for Social Affairs and Integration

- 1993-2012: General Manager of a mutual company

- 1998: Elected as Councillor of the township of Carhaix-Plouguer (Finistère)

- 2004: Re-elected General Councillor, Vice-President of the Finistère Departmental Council, in charge of inclusion, social and solidarity economy

- 2010: General Councillor of Brittany, Chair of the socialist and related group

- June 2012: Elected MP for Finistère, member of the National Defence and Armed Forces Committee, followed by the Social Affairs Committee  

- 2016: Appointed General Rapporteur of the ‘Act for Economic Growth, Activity and Equal Opportunities’ (or the ‘Macron Law’)

- September 2016: Appointed General Secretary of En Marche!

- June 2017: Re-elected MP for Finistère, elected Leader of La République en Marche! group at the National Assembly (National Defence and Armed Forces Committee, followed by the Committee on Laws)

- May 2018: Appointed General Rapporteur of the three Constitutional Bills for a More Representative, Responsible and Efficient Democracy  

- September 2018: Elected President of the National Assembly
