Biographie
Currently General Manager for AWS in France, Julien Groues is responsible for AWS local strategy. In his role, he is working closely with French businesses to understand how they can take benefits of the AWS Cloud technology to innovate, stimulate their business and better serve their own customers. He also leads the AWS initiatives in France to contribute to the country’s digitalization by engaging with French organizations, from enterprises to startups.
Prior to joining Amazon, Julien launched C3 in Europe, a member of the CNBC top 50 disruptor list company which was amid the 20 on the annual Forbes Cloud 100. He was for the last five years its SVP EMEA. During his career in IT, he also spent 5 years at Oracle where he was in charge of global sales in the Utility Global Business Unit after Oracle acquired LODESTAR where Julien was Head of EMEA.
Julien earned an M.B.A. from the Simon School of Rochester in the US, B.A. in European Business Administration in the UK, and a diploma in European Business Studies in France.
