Bachelor of Science (specialty chemistry) from the Free University of Brussels in 1972

- Aggregation of secondary education

- IRSIA scholarship holder from 1972 to 1974: research work for a doctorate at the Molecular Biology Laboratory of the Free University of Brussels

- Diploma of town planner at the Higher Institute of Town Planning and Urban Renewal from 1975 to 1978.

Professional experience

- 1972 to 1974: Researcher at the Molecular Biology Laboratory of the Free University of Brussels

- 1974 to 1976: Collaborator as town planner of the AUSIA Group (Architects, Town planners, Sociologists, Associated engineers)

- 1976 to 1979: Researcher at the ERU (Center for Urban Studies and Research)

- 1979 to 1980: Ministry of the Environment and the Living Environment, Directorate of Architecture

- 1980 to date: Editions Actes Sud, partner and CEO of the Éditions du Paradou Cooperative and since 1987, partner and President of the Management Board of SA Actes Sud.

At the same time, creation with Jean-Paul Capitani of the Actes Sud bookstore.

- 2015: creation with Jean-Paul Capitani of the Domaine du possible school
