France In The Five Coming Years

Session 30

Shaping France over the next five years means extrapolating trends, identifying breaking points, and picturing the reorientations brought about by players in the economy and civil society, as well as by politicians.

The appropriation of digital technologies will spread and grow stronger. Employment will continue to evolve in terms of job types, working conditions and forms of social support.

How will France position itself in a world undergoing fundamental changes? Where will its strengths and weaknesses lie? How will its territories reshape themselves? Will they give more room to the green economy and help eliminate the divisions in society? We will focus particularly on the role of young people, and changes in the values promoted by schools. We will also give thought to the conditions needed to consolidate a diverse, creative and culturally vibrant France.
