Youth Program
What if young people could provide solutions to a polarized society? Since 2023, The Young Program by le Cercle des économistes has been offering 18-30 year olds a unique space to exchange ideas, debate, and propose concrete solutions. To date, more than 450 young people have brought the voice of their generation to political, economic, and community leaders at the Rencontres Économiques d’Aix-en-Provence.

Discuss, propose, act
Through workshops and meetings in Paris and Aix-en-Provence, young people express their ideas and compare them with those of others, reflecting on topics that directly concern them: equal opportunities, civic action, well-being, and professional integration.
This year, the program will be based on a major qualitative survey conducted in collaboration with Elabe. The results will provide a better understanding of this generation’s expectations and concerns, as well as fueling the workshops and topics discussed at the Rencontres Économiques. Each exchange is thus based on concrete data and real-life experiences.
An immersion in the heart of Les Rencontres Économiques
The highlight of the project is participation in the Rencontres Économiques in Aix-en-Provence. For four days, participants evolve in an environment conducive to exchange. Elected officials, businesses, unions, NGOs, international institutions, media, and academic experts meet and engage in dialogue.
Youth Agoras
Within the Youth Agoras, every idea can be presented, discussed, and enriched through dialogue. The debates are supported by a Scientific Council. The Council is composed of Étienne Klein, Béatrice Angrand, Françoise Benhamou, Patrick Weil, Patrice Geoffron, Michel Wieviorka, and Jean Viard. This immersion allows young people to test their proposals and directly confront them with the analyses of decision-makers and experts.
