Sophie PATURLE

Bio

Sophie Paturle is co-founder and Managing Partner of Demeter IM. She has a solid experience in private equity acquired within BTP Capital, Crédit du Nord and then Société Générale before co-founding Demeter in 2005, a private equity company that is a pioneer and leader in the ecological transition in Europe. Demeter IM manages €1.3 billion and has invested in more than 220 companies and projects providing solutions for adapting to and mitigating the effects of climate change. All the funds managed by Demeter are classified as ‘Article 9’ of the SFRD (Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation). Previously, Sophie was an auditor at PWC. Sophie is also a director of CNRS, IFP Energies Nouvelles, Hexaôm, a listed ETI, and several companies in Demeter's portfolio, such as Avidsen, Gireve and Instant System. An active member of France Invest for nearly 25 years, she created and chaired the France Invest Commission with Elles as well as the Industry and Ecological Transition Commission. She has also been a member of the Board of Directors. Sophie is also Ambassador for France 2030, the government's plan to support innovation, industrialisation and research in 2021. She is a graduate of Sciences Po Paris, with a Master's degree in economics and a DECF. She is a Chevalier de l'Ordre National du Mérite and a Chevalier de la Légion d'Honneur. On 19 June 2025, Sophie Paturle was unanimously elected President of France Invest for a two-year term. She succeeds Bertrand Rambaud (Siparex Group), who has held this position since June 2023.
