
Bio
Nicolás Albertoni is Uruguay’s former Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs and currently serves as an Alternate Senator for the Colorado Party. A scholar-practitioner with two doctorates and three master’s degrees, he combines public service, academic research, and international policy engagement. His articles and commentary have appeared in major outlets including The New York Times, El País (Madrid), and CNN. Albertoni was recognized by Global Americans as one of the 20 emerging leaders shaping the region’s future and is a member of the Madrid Club’s Emerging Leaders program. His work focuses on foreign policy, trade, geopolitics, and Latin America’s place in a changing world.
