Nesrine Slaoui is a French-Moroccan author, news commentator and filmmaker known for her sharp and socially engaged storytelling. She is the author of Illégitimes, an acclaimed memoir about navigating French elite institutions as a young woman from the margins, and Seule, a novel addressing cyberharassment and toxic relationships. Her latest works include the essay Notre dignité, exploring the intersection of sexism and racism faced by Maghrebi women in France, and the Arte documentary Kim Kardashian Theory. Slaoui is a regular voice in French media on feminism, inequality, and race. Slaoui hosts the podcast Légitimes, where she gives a platform to individuals she refers to as "the illegitimate" - those whose voices are often marginalized due to their social background, ethnicity, gender, or other factors. Slaoui actively comments on politics and news and has an active presence on Instagram (400k).
