Bio
Ms. Fawzia Koofi is an Afghan politician and former Member of Parliament. She served as the first woman Deputy Speaker of the Afghan Parliament. She was also a member of the Afghan government’s negotiation team in the peace talks with the Taliban in Doha. In addition to her parliamentary and diplomatic roles, she has engaged in national and international discussions on Afghanistan’s political and social issues.
