Bio
Christian de Boissieu is currently Professor Emeritus of Economics at the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and Professor at the College of Europe in Bruges. He is also Vice-President of the Circle of Economists and a member of the Academy of Technologies and the Royal Academy of Belgium. During his career, Christian de Boissieu held various important positions, including those of President of the Economic Analysis Council (CAE), Member of the Attali Commission, Member of the Grand Emprunt Commission, Economic advisor to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Paris, President of the Franco-British Council, and Member of the College of the Autorité des Marchés Financiers. He holds an agrégation of the faculties of law and economics, a doctorate in economic sciences, a diploma from the Institut d'Études Politiques de Paris, as well as a DES (Diplôme d'Etudes Supérieures) in public law. Recent publications include the collective book “Les Systèmes Financiers: Mutations, crises et régulation”, published in 2013, and the book “De la crise des subprimes à la crise mondiale,” co-written with P. Artus, G. Capelle-Blancard, published in 2010. This work reflects his expertise in financial economics and his contribution to the understanding of changes and financial crises.
