PHILIPPE SETBON

Bio

The chairman of AFG and CEO of Natixis Investment Managers, Philippe Setbon began his career in 1990 as a financial analyst at Barclays Bank in Paris. He then worked for Groupe Azur-GMF for 10 years, serving as Head of Asset Management. In 2004, he joined Generali Group, where he held several senior positions, including CEO of Generali Investments France, CEO of Generali Investments Europe Sgr, and Chief Investment Officer for the entire Generali Group. In 2013, Philippe Setbon became CEO of Groupama Asset Management. He then took on the role of CEO at Ostrum Asset Management, an affiliate of Natixis Investment Managers, in 2019. In 2023, he was appointed CEO of Natixis Investment Managers. Most recently, in January 2025, he became Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Natixis, overseeing Asset & Wealth Management, and joined the Executive Management Committee of BPCE. Since June 2022, Philippe Setbon has also served as President of the French Asset Management Association (AFG), and he was re-elected for a second term in June 2025.
