Bio
Élisabeth Moreno is a French executive, entrepreneur, and former minister, recognized for her action-oriented leadership and her commitment to more responsible, inclusive, and sustainable governance. Born in Cape Verde and raised in France, she founded her first company at the age of 20 after studying law, before pursuing an international career in the tech industry across four continents.
She held leadership positions at Orange, Dell Technologies EMEA, Lenovo France, and later Hewlett Packard for Africa. A former commercial court judge, she joined the French government in 2020 as Minister in charge of Gender Equality, Diversity, and Equal Opportunities, where she promoted a demanding vision of equality as a lever for justice, social cohesion, and competitiveness.
Today, she leads Leaders Engagés, chairs Ring Capital and the Africa Committee of France Invest, and serves on several boards of directors, including the Central Bank of Cape Verde and Sanofi. Recipient of several prestigious distinctions, she also chairs the Fondation Femmes@Numérique and founded La Puissance du Lien and ADWIN.
Her conviction: leadership only has meaning if it connects performance with impact, and power with responsibility.
