Xuan Thanh NGUYEN

Nguyen Xuan Thanh is a senior lecturer in public policy at the Fulbright School of Public Policy and Management, Fulbright University Vietnam and a senior fellow at the Ash Center for Democratic Governance and Innovation, Harvard Kennedy School, Harvard University. At Harvard, Thanh works on comparative public policy issues in Vietnam and Southeast Asia and coordinates the Vietnam Executive Education Program. At Fulbright, Thanh teaches macroeconomics, development finance, and project appraisal at the Master in Public Policy program. His current research covers macroeconomic management and infrastructure development. Prior to his academic career, Thanh served as an official in the municipal government of Ho Chi Minh City. He was a member of the Vietnamese Prime Minister Economic Advisory Council from 2018 to 2021. Thanh earned a B.A. (Hons) in economics from the University of New Delhi, an M.Sc. in economics in finance from the University of Warwick, and a Master in Public Administration from Harvard University.
