Mr. N. K. Singh is an eminent Indian economist and policymaker, currently President of the Institute of Economic Growth and Co-Convenor of the G20 Expert Group on Multilateral Development Bank reforms. He chaired the 15th Finance Commission and the FRBM Review Committee, shaping India’s fiscal framework. A former Revenue and Expenditure Secretary and Secretary to Prime Minister Vajpayee, he was pivotal in reforms in taxation, telecom, and infrastructure. He has authored books including The New Bihar, Portraits of Power, and Recalibrate: Changing Paradigms. He is a recipient of Japan’s Order of the Rising Sun, and more recently, he was conferred the prestigious Honorary Fellowship of the London School of Economics, which hailed him as “a statesman of ideas.”
