Johannes LINDNER

Johannes Lindner is Co-Director of the Jacques Delors Centre at the Hertie School in Berlin. There, he leads the Center’s think tank work and focuses primarily on economic and financial policy issues. He teaches at the Hertie School and is an Honorary Professor at Aston University in Birmingham, UK. From 2003 to 2022, Johannes Lindner worked at the European Central Bank (ECB), including ten years (2012–2022) as Head of the EU Institutions and Fora Division, coordinating the ECB's relations with EU institutions, particularly the Council and the European Parliament. He studied economics and political science, earning master's degrees from the London School of Economics (MSc in Public Administration and Public Policy, 1998) and the University of Cologne (Diplom-Volkswirt, 1999). He completed his PhD in political science at the University of Oxford in 2003, focusing on EU budgetary decisions
