Bio

Danielle Alakija is a barrister, multidisciplinary artist, Olympic athlete, and the Founder & CEO of The SOLI Group—an advocacy-based think tank and creative studio that operates at the intersection of community, culture, and crisis. A member of the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple, she brings a unique combination of legal insight, creative practice, and lived experience to global conversations on justice, equity, and climate resilience. Danielle has collaborated with institutions such as the United Nations, the World Food Programme, the World Health Organization, and UK Young Artists. As a Goalkeeper Global Goals Ambassador for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, she works to advance the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, with a focus on issues impacting historically marginalized communities. Born in the United Kingdom and raised between Fiji, Nigeria, and the U.S., Danielle’s multicultural background shapes her approach to storytelling and advocacy. She uses her platform to expose systemic inequalities between the Global North and South, and to document the often-overlooked human consequences of climate change in Global South regions. Her interdisciplinary work bridges the gaps between law, humanitarianism, and art, providing a powerful lens through which to examine injustice and inspire meaningful change. As an Olympian representing Fiji, Danielle also understands the importance of discipline, endurance, and representation. She integrates these values into her professional life, championing causes that centre frontline communities and elevate local voices in global forums. Through The SOLI Group, Danielle leads initiatives that blend research, creative strategy, and grassroots engagement, pushing institutions and industries to rethink how they serve vulnerable populations. Her work continues to influence policy discussions, cultural narratives, and community-driven action on a global scale.
