Bio

Bruno Surace is a French boxer, born on July 28, 1998, in Marseille. He grew up in the Belle de Mai neighborhood, where his father put boxing gloves on him for the first time at the age of 3. Passionate and competitive from an early age, Bruno progressed through the amateur ranks before turning professional at 18. He began his career while pursuing higher education, and today holds a Master’s degree in Business Law and another in Sport & Business. In the ring, Bruno quickly built a strong reputation on the national scene, winning several major bouts, including two French championship titles. In December 2023, he captured the EBU European Silver title by defeating the previously undefeated Jhon Jader Obregon. His professional career took an international turn in 2025 following an unexpected achievement. In Tijuana, he faced Mexican boxing legend Jaime Munguia — a four-time world champion — and knocked him down in the sixth round, marking the first KO loss in Munguia’s 43-fight career. In the highly anticipated rematch held in Saudi Arabia, Bruno lost on points after twelve intense rounds. It was later revealed that his opponent had used steroids during the fight. These events catapulted Bruno onto the global stage of professional boxing.
