Overview
Whether it is in the field of energy transition, digital revolution or transformation of industries, artificial intelligence (AI) would be positioned today as an essential engine of these changes. With its ability to handle massive volumes of data and generate innovative solutions, it opens up new perspectives for addressing global challenges.
In the energy sector, for example, AI plays a key role in optimizing power grids, improving renewable energy efficiency and managing energy consumption. In line with its digital nature, it transforms business models and facilitates the automation of tasks. In sectors such as health, agriculture and logistics, AI-based solutions not only increase process efficiency but also improve decision making by relying on predictive analytics. In addition, AI has the potential to reinvent production and consumption patterns, fostering more circular and sustainable business models.
However, despite its promises, AI has yet to prove itself and also raises ethical, social and economic issues. How can we ensure that this technology benefits everyone, without deepening further inequalities? What place for humans in a world where machines make more and more decisions? Is AI a true or overrated driver of transitions?
