Overview
The issue of the progression of low-skilled workers is a major challenge for our society. While the evolution of skills and careers is often seen as an ideal, it is legitimate to ask whether this perspective is realistic for every worker in France. Can economic, social, and educational barriers be overcome to provide everyone with opportunities for professional advancement? Professional training systems play a crucial role in this dynamic. However, are they sufficiently valued by businesses? Do the training programs offered meet the actual needs of the labour market and enable real skill development? The recognition of these programs by employers is a key factor in encouraging workers to engage in continuous training.
Furthermore, the ability of businesses and administrations to adapt and promote internal mobility is essential. Are they agile enough to identify and support emerging talents? Do managerial practices and human resources policies encourage this progression, or do they act as obstacles?
