From 28 June to 7 July 2025, Aix-en-Provence will be vibrating to the rhythm of the Rencontres Économiques, well beyond the Parc Jourdan, with a cultural and educational programme accessible to everyone throughout the city.
THE “INFO POINT” AT LA ROTONDE
FROM JUNE 28 TO JULY 5
The central point for all initiatives linked to the Rencontres (mapping of facilities, program). A tent decorated in the colors of the Rencontres (banners, etc.), staffed by an agent able to answer questions from Aixois and tourists alike.
ECONOMIC TERRACES
Join three breakfast-style debates (55 min.) organized in the l’Archevêché and l’Escargot restaurants. Two speakers will debate and exchange views with the public on a topical theme or one related to local issues (trade, etc.).
ECONOMIC WALKS
JULY 4 & 5
Discover the city’s economic history on a guided tour entitled “Aix-en-Provence, how the economy has shaped the city”, organized in conjunction with the Tourist Office. Tours depart from the Tourist Office and arrive at Parc Jourdan.
THE FRESCO ‘CONFRONTING THE SHOCK OF REALITY
FROM JULY 3 TO 5
Art students from the ESAAIX school will be creating a fresco on a giant canvas in the Parc Jourdan during the Rencontres, on the theme of 2025.
CIN’ECO
FROM JULY 3 TO 7
Discover a special programme of 5 films about the economy, in partnership with Le Cézanne cinema. A children’s session will be dedicated to school audiences.
ELOQUENCE COMPETITION AT SCIENCES PO AIX
Students from Sciences Po Aix take part in an oratorical competition on an economic theme and try to convince a panel of judges through the power of their arguments and the impact of their speeches.
ECONOMY GAMES
FROM 1 TO 4 JULY
Accompanied by an accredited mediator, schoolchildren will discover the main concepts of economics through games, using the educational kits developed by the Cité de l’économie. This activity is also open to members of associations working to promote social inclusion.
Game kits will also be available to the general public in a café and a bookshop.
